GYPSUM MILLS COOPERATIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MAY 11, 2005
The meeting was called to order by Jim Anthony at 7:03 PM. All members were present except Sam Condo, Linda Bartolone and Gary Bach.
Joyce Southerton lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Announcements/Recognitions: Jim thanked Marsha and Eileen for representing the Board at the New Residents Welcome event, and all who helped at the Open House that provided $ 300 to our treasury.
Joyce Southerton gave the Management Report.
New cigarette butt containers have been placed at the Mail Boxes. Please don't throw paper in them.
Ordered the bike rack for the pool area; should be installed in 4-6 weeks.
Joyce needs an updated list from Sam Condo of all unfinished work yet to be done for the residents. This will be worked on by mid-June.
On June 7 the Town of Victor will conduct a Community Survey in the Complex from 7-9 PM. All residents and the public are invited to attend.
Marsha Sutton moved to accept the minutes from the last Board Meeting as published, with the correction that Rosemary Ellis is not a photography volunteer. Accepted.
Eileen Ramsdell gave the Treasurers Report: Balance on May 11 is $2907.08. Jim Anthony moved to accept the report for audit. Accepted.
Marsha Sutton reported Complex donations of $ 75.00 for April. Bookings for May and June are full. The pool opens May 29. Accepted.
Committee Reports:
Community Relations - nothing pending this month.
Legislative Affairs- Brian Peet will try to arrange a visit with Senator Nozzolio this summer. The previous date of May 6 was too short notice. Brian sent a letter to the senator reflecting all of the residents' input to date.
RLAC- Jane Pierce and Saralyn Gould advised that there are no current bills before the NYS Assembly that pertain to Manufactured Home Owners. Saralyn reports no changes to Victor's code books which were recently updated.
Election Committee - Marsha Sutton and Brian Peet are still contacting candidates
to run for the four Board positions whose terms are up. Interested persons should contact the committee soon.
Unfinished Business:
Jim reports that the small grill next to the kitchen stove belongs to the residents. Linda and Ron are working to clean it up and write cleaning instructions. Brian's friend will make a stainless cover for it as a donation.
Linda - There is one empty propane tank at the complex now.
Marsha reports that the Volunteer Recognition will be on May 22. Richard Esse will be the photographer. The standing committees (Pool, Breakfast, Bereavement, Scoop, Fitness, Bingo, Spaghetti, Board) are contacting
people to attend, and Marsha will get the number of attendees.
New Business:
June 11 will be a pot luck dinner hosted by the Helping Hands Committee.
Board vacancy caused by Marsha Sutton's resignation: After discussion, Jim Anthony moved to appoint Leroy Lashua of Gypsum Mills St. for the 1-year remainder
of Marsha's term. Unanimously accepted. Leroy begins June 2.
Annual Picnic July 16 chaiman will be Ron Platten.
