GYPSUM MILLS ESTATES COOPERATIVE ANNUAL RESIDENT'S MEETING JUNE 2, 2005

  1. President Jim Anthony called the meeting to order at 6:36 PM. Board Members not in attendance were: Brian Peet, Ron Platten and Gary Bach
  2. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was lead by Jim.
  3. Announcements:
    1. Sixty-six of over 100 volunteers were honored at the Volunteer Recognition Party.
    2. Elections of four board members will be held after golf folks arrive.
    3. Jim thanked Eileen, Howard, Brian, Gary and Marsha for their time, energy and help this past year as active Board Members.
    4. Marsha Sutton resigned the Board as of June 2nd, due to a new job.
    5. Leroy Lashua was Board appointed to fill Marsha's remaining Term.
    6. Funds are up to approximately $3000.00 due to everyone's help with the activities.
    7. Annual Picnic to be held on July 16th this year, $3.00 per person and under 12 free. Residents and Family only. You need to bring nothing, food to be catered. Large tent to be set up next to the Complex for 300 people. There will be prizes and games & etc. Tickets go on sale June 20th. More info to follow.
  1. Minutes from last Resident's Meeting from March read by Linda Bartolone. Evie Roy moved to accept minutes, approved.
  2. Treasurer's Report read by Eileen Ramsdell. Balance as of 6/02/05 $2,663.11 Jim moved to accept Report for Audit Committee. Approved
  3. Facilities Manager Report, Linda Bartolone. Selected JFM Dist. for low cost items. Pop machine collected $676.34 over the last 11 months. Report accepted.
  4. Complex Use Coordinator Report, Marsha Sutton. June is booked. Stated that she enjoyed working on the board and thanked everyone.
  5. Committee Reports:
    1. Community Relations - Sam Condo says we are to get our work orders into Maintenance.
    2. Legislative Affairs report was given by Jim Anthony. Brian Peet will continue to try to get a Congressman here to talk to us.
    3. Helping Hands Report was given by Lou Guyette. Lots of folks have been helped this last month. Pot Luck Dinner on June 11th is filling up.
    4. The RLAC Report was given by Saralyn Gould. No changes to date.
  1. Owner Management Report given by Joyce Southerton:
    1. Explained the short lease agreements from last two years. Some residents will qualify for Rent refunds; you will be notified. This also applies to privately purchased homes.
    2. The DEC Agents came in today and said that all lots in the Gypsum Mills Complex will be top soiled and seeded within 60 days.
    3. The bike rack is coming.
    4. A public meeting is to be held by the Town of Victor at the Community Center on June 7th from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. All residents are welcome to attend this survey.
    5. The new Regional Community Manager's name is Mike, who replaces Marcus.
    6. Pond renovation labor quotes are in and we are looking for the correct pumps.
    7. Air Conditioners arrive 10 at a time. Yours will be installed very soon.
  1. Unfinished Business. None from March other than maintenance questions.
  2. New Business:
    1. A 40 ft x 80 ft. tent will be used for our picnic. We need volunteers to be Security Guards to watch the tent, tables and chairs for that Friday night. Please call Ron Platten.
    2. The Yard Sale will be held this year on August 6th. As last year, we need everyone to donate baked goods to be sold at the Community Center. This is a big fund raiser for us.
    3. Joyce Southerton asked for volunteers for a Beautification Committee. Eight volunteers to design and plant are needed and Mr. Morgan will pay for all of the flowers, etc. If interested please call Joyce ASAP.
  1. Residents' Open Forum:
    1. Linda Tuttle was concerned about the first 2 blocks having no lights at night. Joyce will bring it up at the Wednesday morning Managers meeting.
    2. John Brackett was concerned about residents walking not facing traffic. His concern will be placed in the Scoop. Neighborhood Watch has been informed.
    3. Ethel Vogt was concerned about children playing in the street on Murphy Drive. Joyce will check on this.
    4. Chuck Skalski was concerned about children having a place to play. Jim Anthony to check on putting an ad in the Scoop concerning summertime safety.
  1. Jim Anthony read the voting rules. All new Directors are for two-year Terms. Votes to be counted by Evie Roy, Barb Bracket, Barb Seils and Jim Anthony. Each candidate gave an introduction speech telling of their experiences that qualify them to be a board member. The floor was opened for other nominees. No new nominees. Jim Anthony called for the vote. The new board members elected are: Lou Guyette, Bill Hoffman, Eileen Ramsdell and Gaynor Seeber. Congratulations to all.
  2. Motion to adjourn by Evie Roy at 8:42 PM. All in favor.
