BOARD MEETING MINUTES

November 8, 2006

    1. All board members were in attendance except for Dean Rice & Ron Platten.
    2. Sam Condo called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M.
    3. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Nancy Alcorn.
    4. Announcements and Recognitions:
      1. Thanks to all those who helped on the pasta dinner.
      2. Thanks to all those who cleaned and painted the kitchen.
    5. Last meeting minutes- Lou Guyette moved to accept the minutes as written, Don Kennedy seconded.
    6. Treasurers Report- Eileen Ramsdell reported a balance of $2,027.19 as of 11/8/06.
    7. House funds- Lou Guyette reported a balance of $47.14 as of 11/8/06.
    8. Cooperative Center Report- Bill Hoffman reported there were 5 private parties in October, the kitchen was cleaned and painted, the root beer button on the pop machine was fixed, the problem with vacuum cleaner solved. Thanks to everyone for your help and cooperation.
    9. Legislative affairs- Don Kennedy reported that a meeting on identity theft was held. 27 residents signed up to attend, 11 showed up. The post office flag is in place. We are still looking into getting a defibrillator for the pool/community complex. We are looking into having Senator Nozzolio and Assemblyman Errigo speak and address legislation on seniors and manufactured homes.
    10. Management Report- Nancy Alcorn reported:
      1. Electric is in and ready for Christmas decorations.
      2. Shelves for the wall by the fireplace need to be painted.
      3. RV areas are cleaned up of weeds, trees, etc. If the areas are not maintained by the residents, a charge may be required.
      4. Shuffleboard court was lost during the last wind storm.
      5. Work needs to be done on bocce courts.
      6. Working on getting a 12 x 14 storage shed for storage of tents, etc., near the management office.
    1. Unfinished business:
      1. Rules for exercise room are still under consideration.
      2. Looking into getting a cleaning solution to wipe down exercise machines after use.
      3. Don Kennedy and Bill Hoffman will get volunteers together to decorate inside and outside the community complex.
      4. The pool table contract for 4.5 years has been signed.
      5. Linda Bartolone is purchasing new decorations for the complex.
    1. New business:
      1. Don Kennedy moved to accept Terry Duffy to fill out Jerry Vaughn's term as corresponding secretary, seconded by Bill Hoffman.
      2. A meeting was scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2006, to plan December's Christmas party.
      3. The George Hogan band was selected to be the entertainment for the New Years Eve party.
    Lou Guyette moved to adjourn at 8:58 p.m., seconded by Eileen Ramsdell.
