RESIDENTS MEETING MINUTES

MARCH 1, 2007

  1. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm. All board members were present except Lou Guyette and Ron Platten.
  2. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was led by Sam Condo.
  3. Minutes of the December 7, 2006 Resident's Meeting were read by Terry Duffy. Motion to accept the minutes as written was made by Don Kennedy and seconded by Linda Bartolone.
  4. Treasurer's Report - Eileen Ramsdell reported a balance of $2051.01 as of March 1, 2007. Motion to accept by Bill Hoffman and seconded by Terry Duffy. (See attached sheet for full report.)
  5. House Funds - Terry Duffy reported a balance of $47.79 as of December 12, 2006. There were no expenses in January 2007 and income of $42.00 leaving a balance as of January 31, 2007 of $89.79. The starting balance on February 1, 2007 was $89.79 with income of $49.33 and pop expenses of $60.52 for an ending balance as of February 28, 2007 of $78.60. Motion to approve by Sam Condo and seconded by Linda Bartolone. (see attached sheet)
  6. Bill Hoffman reported that in January the complex was used for four private parties and one movie night. In February there were five private parties. The Ham Dinner for 69 people generated an $87.00 profit. A complex usage update is attached.
  7. Don Kennedy reported that Thompson Hospital is working on programs for Bereavement and Depression that will be made available to residents of Gypsum Mills. Leslie Bamann is working with the Department of Public Works and the owner of the property on the east side of Plastermill Road at the end of Brownsville Road to clean up that area. She has also expressed a wish to have another meeting here in Gypsum Mills with the residents as she did in the Spring of 2006. Don also reported that he and Jim Anthony are working on updating the bylaws. The changes will be presented to the residents at the June Residents Meeting.
  8. Management Report - Nancy Alcorn reported that the defibrillator will be here next week. She also stated that Kelly Eldredge, a nurse/resident, would like to use the facility for Blood Pressure Clinics. The third item that Nancy spoke on was the possible addition of two more shuffleboard courts. She is currently looking into costs.
  9. RESIDENTS OPEN FORUM:
    1. Resident Dottie Domalski inquired about the possibility of using the facility for a Blood Drive sometime in late Spring.
    2. Resident Don Varner wanted to know if Victor had any plans to do roadwork in Gypsum Mills Estates this year. Nancy Alcorn reported that she had a letter ready to send to them asking for information regarding this issue.
    3. Resident Georgann Huff asked why the abbreviated minutes had not been appearing in the Scoop. She was told that due to illness of Board Members it had been put on hold and would start again in April.
    4. Board Member Terry Duffy asked resident Dottie Domalski if Special Olympics would be under Gypsum Mills jurisdiction this year. Dottie is working with Frank Pierce and the Special Olympics committees to see if this is feasible.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 8:20 pm by Bill Hoffman and seconded by Terry Duffy.
