GYPSUM MILLS ESTATES COOPERATIVE
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
APRIL 5, 2007
- Don Kennedy called the meeting to order at 7:31 P.M. Members not in attendance: Sam Condo, Ron Platten, Terry Duffy and Nancy Alcorn.
- The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Don Kennedy.
- Announcements and Recognitions:
- Thanks to Linda Bartolone and crew for another successful St. Patty's Day Party.
- A representative from the office of Town Supervisor, Leslie Bamann, made a request to make a presentation to Gypsum Mills Residents regarding the proposed New Town Hall. His Task Force will present this to the Residents on April 24. Voting will be on April 30. The town will send out invitations to each Resident.
- Last meeting minutes- Lou Guyette moved to accept the minutes as written, Bill Hoffman seconded.
- Treasurer's report- Eileen Ramsdell reported a balance of $2,266.32 as of 4/5/07.
- House Funds- Terry Duffy absent, report to be given next month.
- Cooperative Center Report- Bill Hoffman reports there will be an Open House June 15,16,17, 2007. The annual Picnic will be on July 21. There is no Community event scheduled for May.
- Legislative Affairs- Don Kennedy reports that there will be a seminar on depression given this month. The storage box for the defibrillator has been installed, Don will set up a training session for all chairpersons to attend, and they in turn can train their respective crews.
- Management Report- Nancy Alcorn was absent due to illness; there is no report this month. However, Don Kennedy reports that Tristen, from Morgan Management, will be Nora's replacement. Both Tristen and Jim Haskins will be relocating to the Community Management Office building.
- Unfinished Business:
- Lou and Bill have made changes in the Cooperative Building Usage Rules. These were read and some changes were suggested. Don Kennedy made a motion to accept the Rules as revised, Linda Bartolone seconded.
- Election Committee- Add to next months agenda.
- Volunteer Recognitions- Add to next months agenda, however the board unanimously agreed to financially support any volunteer function.
- AARP 55 Alive- Don Kennedy and Lou Guyette will be attending the training.
- Bylaws- Add to next months agenda.
- A motion was made by Bill Hoffman to reinstate Jerry Vaughn to fulfill his term on the Board through June 2008. Linda Bartolone seconded the motion.
- New Business- No new business.
- Bill Hoffman moved to adjourn at 9:30 P.M., Linda Bartolone seconded.
